JCSE HOSTS ANNUAL MILITARY CO-OPERATION SEMINAR General Vecihi AKIN Garrison, Þirinyer, Ýzmir- Joint Command Southeast (JCSE) hosted representatives from nine Partnership for Peace (PfP), two Mediterranean Dialoque, two NATO member countries as well as the representatives from NATO headquarters of southern region and PfP Coordination Centre at SHAPE(PCC) in Brussel/BELGIUM at the annual Military Co-operation Seminar held in Izmir 15-17 May. Representatives from the PfP nations of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kyrgyzistan, Moldova, Romania, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan; Algeria and Tunusia as Mediterranean Dialogue countries and the NATO nations of Greece and Turkey represented in the seminar. The seminar aims to discus the issues of existing Partnership for Peace (PfP) program to improve relation among the countries to reach better military interoperability. During his opening remarks; General AKBAÞ, Commander, Joint Command Southeast, welcomed the participants and expressed his pleasure to host this seminar. General, AKBAÞ also stressed the importance of PfP activities of this kind for developing co-operative military relations between NATO and it's Partners. Annual Military Co-operation seminar is one of the activities aiming to develop active military co-operation among NATO and it's partners planned by JCSE this year.
