Joint Command Southeast realizes the importance of timely and effective medical support in Peace Support Operations.  Exercise Cooperative Adventure Exchange has several units under JCSE’s command to include an Italian Hospital and a United States Marine Corps Shock Trauma Platoon.

 

A US Marine and an Italian ambulance driver unload a patient for treatment by US Navy medical personnel.
After being stabilized for movement, patients receive initial care from the Shock Trauma Platoon.

A patient who requires definitive care is taken to the Italian field hospital.
